As a Practice Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering proactive safeguarding and family support services, developing strong partnerships with lead practitioners, families, and external agencies including the police and voluntary organisations. You will be part of a service recognised by Ofsted as ‘Good’, with leadership and safeguarding practices praised for their effectiveness.

What you will do

  • Assessment Leadership: Support Lead Practitioners from Targeted Family Help teams in leading Section 17 assessments and Child in Need (CIN) planning.
  • Multi‑Agency Collaboration: Work with partner agencies to create and implement comprehensive family support plans.
  • Meeting Participation: Attend Child in Need meetings and contribute assessments and reports for conferences and courts.
  • Safeguarding Coordination: Engage with the Multi‑Agency Child Protection Team to implement child protection plans as required.
  • Relationship‑Based Practice: Build positive, trauma‑informed relationships with children and families to support safety and development.
  • Quality & Standards: Ensure high standards of case recording by lead practitioners and promote equality, diversity, and inclusion across practice.
