We are offering an exhilarating opportunity for a talented and committed Social Worker to join our Help and Protection Team in Doncaster. Working across Children in Need, Child Protection, and Care Proceedings, this role provides a rewarding and impactful experience with a competitive hourly rate of £35.00.

What you will do:

Manage a caseload of children subject to Children in Need, Child Protection, and care proceedings.

Undertake statutory assessments, including Child and Family Assessments.

Develop, implement, and review Child in Need and Child Protection plans, ensuring outcomes and timescales are met.

Lead safeguarding interventions to reduce risk and promote children’s safety and wellbeing.

Prepare high-quality court reports, statements, and care plans for legal proceedings.

Attend and contribute to core groups, child protection conferences, legal planning meetings, and court hearings.

Undertake statutory visits to children and families in line with legislation and local procedures.

Work directly with children, ensuring their views, wishes, and feelings inform decision-making.

Assess parenting capacity, family dynamics, and risk factors.

Work collaboratively with families, carers, and partner agencies to achieve positive change.

Identify, assess, and manage safeguarding concerns, escalating risks appropriately.

Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant case records and reports.

Participate in supervision, training, and continuous professional development.

Work in accordance with organisational policies, professional standards, and ethical practice.
