What you will do

  • Respond promptly to new referrals and information requests, conducting thorough and effective assessments.
  • Identify safeguarding concerns and take appropriate immediate action.
  • Participate actively in duty arrangements and respond swiftly to urgent social work intervention requests.
  • Conduct high-quality assessments incorporating the voices, wishes, and feelings of children.
  • Undertake child protection enquiries as necessary and participate in multi-agency safeguarding processes.
  • Build positive relationships with children and families, advocating for children's welfare in all decisions.
  • Work collaboratively with schools, health professionals, police, and other partners to coordinate support and interventions.
  • Manage an allocated caseload, ensuring statutory visits, assessments, and reviews are completed within required timescales.
  • Stay informed of relevant children's social care legislation and contribute to team improvements and reflective practice activities.
