What you will do:

• Undertake initial assessments and progress cases to care proceedings where required

• Complete assessments under the Single Assessment Framework

• Prepare care plans and signpost families to appropriate support services

• Carry out risk assessments and write reports for initial child protection conferences

• Complete Section 17 reports, initial court statements, and apply for Emergency Care Orders

• Attend court to represent and advocate for the best interests of children

• Conduct home visits to monitor safety and wellbeing

• Chair and contribute to multi-agency meetings, ensuring children’s needs remain central

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker with relevant post-qualification experience

• Registered with Social Work England

• Experience working within Children With Disabilities or complex children’s services

• Strong assessment, report-writing, and court work skills

• Ability to manage risk and work effectively within multi-agency settings
