What you will do:

• Manage a caseload of children looked after by the local authority, ensuring each child receives tailored, high-quality support.

• Undertake statutory visits in line with legislative requirements and local policies.

• Complete care planning, reviews, and permanency planning to promote positive and stable outcomes.

• Build professional, trusting relationships with children, young people, and their families, ensuring their voices are heard.

• Work collaboratively with foster carers, residential staff, and partner agencies to advocate for children’s wellbeing.

• Prepare high-quality reports for reviews, permanency planning meetings, and court proceedings.

• Contribute to care proceedings, including fostering and adoption planning.

• Identify, assess, and manage safeguarding risks and complex family dynamics effectively.

• Liaise closely with education, health, and social care professionals to deliver holistic support.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant case records.

• Engage in supervision, training, and wider organisational development activities.
