What you will do:

Manage a caseload of children looked after by the local authority, ensuring each child receives tailored, high-quality support.

Undertake statutory visits in line with legislative requirements and local policies.

Complete care planning, reviews, and permanency planning to promote positive and stable outcomes.

Build professional, trusting relationships with children, young people, and their families, ensuring their voices are heard.

Work collaboratively with foster carers, residential staff, and partner agencies to advocate for children’s wellbeing.

Prepare high-quality reports for reviews, permanency planning meetings, and court proceedings.

Contribute to care proceedings, including fostering and adoption planning.

Identify, assess, and manage safeguarding risks and complex family dynamics effectively.

Liaise closely with education, health, and social care professionals to deliver holistic support.

Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant case records.

Engage in supervision, training, and wider organisational development activities.
