Pay Rate: £29.28 per hour (PAYE) | £39.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: Temporary – 12 Weeks
Hours: 37 hours per week

Seven Resourcing are currently recruiting for experienced Social Workers to join a Children & Families Locality Team within Central Bedfordshire. We are looking for passionate and experienced Children’s Social Workers who are committed to improving outcomes for children and families through high-quality interventions, relationship-based practice, and effective safeguarding support.
The Role:
As a Social Worker within the Family Help Team, you will work closely with children, young people, and families to provide effective support and intervention services. You will manage complex caseloads, undertake assessments, and deliver child-centred social work practice to promote positive long-term outcomes.
This hybrid social work role involves a combination of home working and attendance at office locations across Central Bedfordshire, including Shefford and Dunstable, depending on service requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children and families within statutory social work services
- Complete assessments, care planning, and safeguarding interventions
- Deliver effective child protection and family support services
- Apply social work theories and models to improve outcomes for children
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals and partner organisations
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and carers
- Maintain accurate case records and reports in line with legislation and policy
- Participate in team meetings, reviews, and court work where required
Applicant Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience within children’s social care
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, child protection, and statutory guidance
- Experience working within locality, family help, or children & families teams
- Excellent assessment, communication, and case management skills
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced local authority environment
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable
