What you will do:

• Manage a diverse caseload of children in care, conducting statutory visits, assessments, and reviews according to regulatory timescales.
• Develop and implement robust care plans, permanence plans, and pathway plans for young people.
• Collaborate with foster carers, residential providers, schools, health professionals, and other stakeholders to address and meet children’s needs.
• Prepare high-quality reports for court proceedings, reviews, and care planning meetings.
• Participate in statutory reviews and Looked After Children (LAC) reviews, actively contributing to decision-making processes.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

• Degree in Social Work (BA/MA Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification).

Registration & Compliance:

• Registered with Social Work England (SWE).
• Sound knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and 2004.
• Understanding of statutory guidance relating to looked-after children and care leavers.
• Knowledge of safeguarding frameworks and relevant UK legislation.
