This is a thrilling chance to dive into social work with a dynamic team in Torbay. The Team Structure consists of six teams, with three teams overseeing Torquay and three managing Paignton and Brixham. Each team is made up of a Team Manager, an Advanced Social Worker, and four to five Social Workers. Whether you're covering Torquay, Paignton, or Brixham, you'll be engaging in meaningful work that truly makes a difference. With a typical caseload of 20-24 cases, including complex Child in Need, Child Protection, and assessments, your skills will be put to exciting use. What you will do:

- Manage a diverse caseload, typically ranging between 20–24 cases, involving Child in Need and Child Protection cases.
- Conduct assessments and interventions to safeguard children and support families in both challenging and rewarding scenarios.
- Collaborate effectively with the team to cover duty one full week every three weeks.
- Respond promptly to crisis situations and Section 47 enquiries, ensuring the safety and welfare of children.
- Maintain a flexible work schedule, attending the office up to three times a week and being present full-time during duty weeks.
- Occasionally travel across Torbay and out of county to visit out-of-area placements.
