Job Title:Children’s Social Worker – Social Care Qualified | Safeguarding & Family Support
Location:Hereford (Multiple locations: Ross on Wye, Leominster, Hereford)
Contract:Temporary | 12 Weeks
Hours:37 hours per week
Rate:PAYE £24.08 per hour | Limited/Umbrella £32.56 per hour
Start Date:30 March 2026

About the Role

As a Children’s Social Worker, you will:

Work directly with children, young people, and familiesto provide safeguarding and family support
Conduct assessments, provide early help, and implement care plans in collaboration with families
Build strong, trusting relationships and empower families to overcome challenges
Take decisive action when necessary to protect children and ensure their safety and well-being
Work closely with multi-agency partners across education, health, and care services
Keep the child’s voice at the centreof all decisions and practice
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with statutory safeguarding requirements

Requirements

Qualified and registered Social Workerwith relevant social care experience
Experience in child protection, safeguarding, or family support
Strong communication, assessment, and relationship-building skills
Ability to work collaboratively with families and multi-agency teams
Knowledge of statutory guidance and best practice in children’s social care
