What you will do:
1. Undertake a range of tasks such as investigating adult safeguarding issues and carrying out assessments of need, analysis, and planning.
2. Identify and appropriately report safeguarding concerns for children and adults, liaising with key agencies and acting as Investigating Officer when required.
3. Use a range of legal interventions, departmental policies, and procedures to support outcome-based planning for adults.
4. Engage directly with adults in need, carers, families, and their communities to empower them to make informed decisions.
5. Collaborate with partner agencies to build networks of community support, assisting adults in maintaining their independence.
6. Maintain accurate case records and present reports to panels and in court as necessary.
7. Contribute to the learning of social work students, newly qualified social workers, and team members through supervision and mentoring.
8. Commit to continuous professional development and undertake relevant training.
9. For those in Mental Health Services, undertake training as an Approved Mental Health Professional and contribute to AMHP rotas.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant frontline experience in Social Services within the UK
