What you will do:

  • Lead and oversee statutory SEND duties for early years in accordance with current legislation.

  • Line manage Early Years SEND Development Advisers, ensuring high-quality performance.

  • Manage the Early Years SEND Inclusion Fund, ensuring effective and transparent resource allocation.

  • Provide professional support and challenge to educational settings to promote inclusive practice.

  • Support early identification and intervention processes using a structured approach.

  • Contribute to assessment and Education, Health and Care Plan pathways for children aged 0–5.

  • Lead training and development activities, including SENCo training and workforce development.

  • Strengthen multi-agency collaboration with health, social care, and parent partnerships.

  • Facilitate smooth transitions between early years settings and schools.
