What you will do:
- Run elective and emergency operating sessions, ensuring efficient and effective surgical services for Guernsey's community.
- Undertake complex patient assessments and develop specialised care programmes, using the latest evidence-based practices.
- Autonomously recognise changes in patient conditions that require intervention, escalating as needed.
- Mentor and guide junior staff in care planning and execution, promoting high professional standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their networks, and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring therapeutic and respectful interactions.
- Lead by example, coordinating nurse-led activities and fostering collaborative multi-agency work.
- Contribute to service development by proposing changes to policies and procedures.
- Uphold financial responsibility by managing resources and ensuring safe equipment use.
- Engage in continuous professional development through training and supervising peer learning, ensuring a deep understanding of and compliance with our CARE values.
