Location: Remote (London HQ)
Role Overview
I am on the hunt for a Head of Operations to take ownership of the company’s operational delivery across all destinations. More than managing logistics, this role is about designing scalable systems, developing operational excellence, and ensuring smooth, high-quality execution as they grow.
This is a hands-on leadership position where strategic thinking meets practical delivery. You’ll play a key part in shaping long-term plans while also staying close to day-to-day realities—solving challenges in real time, guiding teams on the ground, and ensuring every detail is covered.
Requirements
- Lead all operational delivery across global retreat destinations.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable systems and processes.
- Ensure every retreat runs safely, smoothly, and to exceptional standards.
- Lead, develop, and support in-resort teams, Operations Coordinators, and Team Leads.
- Manage workforce planning, rostering, and overall staffing strategy.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and team readiness across destinations.
- Manage suppliers, contracts, and external partnerships.
- Identify and manage operational risks, including crisis and contingency planning.
- Oversee operational budgets, ensuring spend aligns with business targets and margin goals.
- Drive efficiency, cost control, and continuous improvement.
- Act as a key operational partner to leadership, supporting strategic growth programs.
- Step into live operations when needed, particularly during peak periods or retreats.
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an operational leadership role within travel, events, fitness, hospitality, or experience-led industries.
- Proven success in a high-growth or startup environment.
- Strong experience managing international or multi-site operations.
- Expertise in building and scaling systems and operational frameworks.
- Excellent people leadership and team management capabilities.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on delivery.
