Senior Environmental Advisor in Bury St Edmunds, East Of England
UK working eligibility only.
We’re excited to be partnered with a major organisation delivering one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure programmes. Supporting them on finding a Senior Environmental Advisor to help on sites between Thurrock and Norwich.
You’ll be the go‑to environmental expert on a huge multi‑year project spanning over 70km, influencing decisions, guiding teams on the ground, and making sure this nationally significant programme delivers real, lasting positive impact. This is perfect for someone who loves being out on site, thrives on variety, and wants the freedom to truly own their area of expertise.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Championing Environmental Standards – Setting the bar for compliance and making sure the project not only meets requirements but leads the way in best practice.
- Owning the Environmental Plan – Keeping the Environmental Management Plan sharp, relevant and understood across busy site teams.
- Turning Monitoring Into Insight – Keeping an eye on noise, dust, water and waste, then turning the data into clear guidance people can act on.
- Being the Voice of the Environment On Site – Getting stuck into ground investigations, archaeological works and ecological considerations across a diverse landscape.
- Empowering Project Teams – Giving practical, real‑world advice that helps engineers, designers and temporary works teams build responsibly and confidently.
Who They’re Looking For:
- A Naturally Curious Environmental Specialist – Genuinely passionate about the environmental side of construction.
- Someone Who Gets Construction – Comfortable navigating the realities, pressures and moving parts of major civils, utilities or infrastructure sites.
- A Clear, Confident Communicator – Able to build trust with landowners, internal teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- A Calm, Proactive Problem‑Solver – Ready to step in, manage incidents and drive improvements without losing momentum.
- A Field‑Ready Advisor – Happy travelling up and down a long project corridor and staying close to the action on site.
