What you will do

• EHCP Coordination: Act as the lead contact for Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) activity, supporting children, young people, and families throughout the process.
• Multi-Agency Working: Coordinate services and facilitate communication between education, health, and social care professionals.
• Meeting Management: Organise and lead multidisciplinary and multi-agency meetings focused on the needs, aspirations, and outcomes of children and young people.
• Plan Development: Draft, finalise, review, and amend EHCPs and related plans in accordance with statutory requirements.
• SEND Advice: Provide specialist guidance and support to families, educational settings, and professionals regarding SEND processes and legislation.
• Statutory Compliance: Ensure all SEND activity complies with the Children and Families Act, SEND Code of Practice, and relevant legislation.
• Transition Support: Lead initiatives supporting children and young people transitioning between non-statutory and statutory services.
• Early Intervention: Promote the early identification of SEND needs and support inclusive practices across educational settings.
• Strategic Contribution: Contribute to the development and improvement of SEND and Inclusion services, helping to drive innovative solutions and best practice.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant records, reports, and case documentation.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Experience: Previous experience within SEND services, EHCP coordination, education, local authority services, or a related field.
• Legislative Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Children and Families Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice, and associated legislation.
• EHCP Experience: Experience managing or contributing to Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments and EHCP processes.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Partnership Working: Proven ability to work effectively with children, families, schools, health professionals, and social care services.
• Organisational Skills: Strong case management and workload prioritisation skills.
• Problem-Solving Ability: Ability to manage complex situations and identify practical solutions to support positive outcomes.
• IT Skills: Competent in the use of case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
