SEND Deputy Head of Year (Non-Teaching) – 6th Form

Location: Redbridge
Hours: 36 hours per week
Salary: £32,535 – £33,987 FTE (pro rata £27,954 – £29,202)
Start Date: September 2026

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

This is a non-teaching pastoral role where no two days are the same! You will:

• Support students with SEND, EHCPs, and additional needs
• Help drive academic progress and personal development
• Monitor student wellbeing, attendance & achievement
• Supervise 6th form study sessions
• Work closely with families, staff & external agencies
• Contribute to a strong, supportive pastoral culture
• Support university applications & personal statements

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Experience supporting young people (education, mentoring, youth work etc.)
• Strong understanding of SEND and inclusion
• Confident using data to track progress
• Excellent communication & people skills
