About the Role:

As a Humanities Graduate Unqualified Teacher, you will take on real teaching responsibility across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons and supporting students of varying abilities. You’ll gain exposure to curriculum planning, assessment, and classroom leadership—giving you a genuine head start before training in 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons across History, Geography and/or Religious Studies
  • Support students in building critical thinking, analysis, and written skills
  • Assess progress and provide feedback to drive improvement
  • Maintain a focused, respectful, and engaging classroom environment
  • Work closely with experienced teachers to refine your teaching practice

What We’re Looking For:

  • A 2:1 or First-Class degree in a Humanities subject (History, Geography, Politics, etc.)
  • A strong academic background and passion for education
  • Confident communicator with the ability to lead and engage a class
  • A long-term goal of becoming a qualified teacher (2027 training pathway)
  • Resilience, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn
