We are seeking a dynamic Recovery Worker to join a dedicated Substance Misuse Service based in Thetford, earning an attractive £23.00 per hour on an ongoing basis. What you will do

• Support individuals on their recovery journey from drug and alcohol dependency.
• Manage a varied caseload, providing personalised and compassionate support.
• Deliver interventions using harm reduction and recovery-focused approaches.
• Develop and review recovery plans tailored to individual needs and goals.
• Motivate and empower service users to make positive and sustainable lifestyle changes.
• Facilitate group sessions, workshops, and recovery-focused activities.
• Provide advice and guidance on health, wellbeing, housing, employment, and community support services.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, partner agencies, and wider support networks.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential case records and documentation.
• Promote safeguarding, risk management, and positive outcomes for all service users.

Requirements

• Substance Misuse Experience: Previous experience working within drug and alcohol recovery services or a related support environment.
• Caseload Management: Ability to effectively manage a varied caseload.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and engagement skills with the ability to build positive relationships.
• Recovery-Focused Practice: Knowledge of harm reduction principles and recovery models.
• Record Keeping: Ability to maintain accurate and professional records.
• DBS Check: Current DBS check preferred.
