Quality Inspector in Huddersfield, Yorkshire And The Humber

6-month contract (extension possibility)
Based in Huddersfield
£350 - £400 per day

We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our team on an initial 6-month contract, based in Huddersfield. This is a hands-on, site-focused role.
The position is ideally suited to a technically strong quality professional with a background in civil engineering or construction, rather than a supervisory or management-focused role. Candidates should have at least a couple of years' experience working as a Quality Engineer, Quality Inspector, or in a similar technical quality role.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out quality inspections across active project sites
• Inspecting works including concrete, steel works, and earthworks to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and relevant standards
• Reviewing and analysing technical drawings, specifications, and quality documentation
• Producing clear, accurate inspection reports, highlighting non-conformances, required changes, and opportunities for improvement
• Liaising with site teams and providing clear, constructive feedback to support continuous improvement
• Supporting the project team in maintaining high quality and compliance standards

Requirements:

• Proven experience in concrete, steel works, and earthworks
• Strong ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications
• Good knowledge of relevant industry standards and quality procedures
• Confident report writing and documentation skills
• Computer literate, with experience using standard reporting and office software
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams

Additional Information:

• Access to a car is essential, as the role involves visiting local project sites within approximately a 5-mile radius
