We are recruiting experienced HVAC and Electrical Project Managers for major building services and construction projects across Australia.

Our client is particularly interested in professionals currently working within the UK, Ireland and European construction markets who are considering a long-term move to Australia.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of HVAC and Electrical projects from design and procurement through construction, commissioning and final handover.

You will oversee project programmes, commercial performance, client relationships, subcontractors and project teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
Manage HVAC and Electrical projects through the full project lifecycle.
Oversee project programmes, budgets, forecasting and cost control.
Lead project teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
Develop and maintain strong client, consultant and contractor relationships.
Coordinate design, procurement, installation and commissioning activities.
Manage project risks, variations and contractual compliance.
Monitor project performance and provide regular progress reporting.
Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with safety, quality and technical standards.
Coordinate testing, commissioning, handover and defects management.
Experience & Requirements
Degree qualified in HVAC Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (HVAC), Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
A recognised Degree, Master's Degree, MEng or equivalent engineering qualification is mandatory.
Minimum 3 years' experience delivering HVAC, Electrical or Building Services projects within the construction industry.
Experience working for a building services contractor, MEP contractor, specialist HVAC/Electrical contractor or principal contractor.
Experience managing projects through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
Strong commercial awareness, including budgeting, forecasting, variations and cost control.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong organisational, problem-solving and leadership abilities.

Please note: Candidates without a recognised degree in HVAC, Building Services, Mechanical (HVAC) and or  Electrical Engineering will NOT be considered.
