What you will do:

Deliver comprehensive nursing care in accordance with NHS and Trust policies.

Undertake health assessments, triage, and clinical interventions for a variety of physical health needs.

Safely administer medications, including controlled drugs, following established protocols.

Manage chronic conditions like diabetes, asthma, and hypertension with expert care.

Provide urgent and emergency care, including rapid response to clinical deterioration.

Engage in health promotion and screening initiatives, such as immunisations and smoking cessation.

Address mental health needs, substance misuse issues, and safeguarding concerns.
As a Registered General Nurse, you will also work closely with prison officers, GPs, mental health nurses, substance misuse teams, and other allied health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. This role requires adeptness at participating in MDT meetings, maintaining clinical independence, and contributing to care planning discussions.
