What you will do:
- Provide day-to-day direction and coordination for staff within the Assessment and Support Teams.
- Ensure the delivery of timely and proportionate allocations, and statutory assessments based on identified risks.
- Assist in the operational management of the team, implementing new initiatives in collaboration with the Team Leader.
- Support the Team Leader in ensuring the team’s core functions uphold the highest quality standards in safeguarding and child welfare promotion.
- Allocate work, set targets, and oversee training programs, fostering staff development and motivation.
- Establish standards and priorities for the team, advocating quality management and adherence to policies.
- Supervise and manage up to two qualified social workers.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be registered with Social Work England and possess the capability to exceed the expected standards for an experienced social worker. You should have experience in an urban, culturally diverse environment and evidence of continuous professional development. The candidate should also have experience supervising children's social care staff and utilising quality assurance systems.
