SEN Primary Teacher – Acton, West London
New Specialist Provision | Full-Time | Permanent
Inner London MPS – UPS (£40,317 – £62,496) | Immediate or September Start
Are you an experienced SEN Primary Teacher ready for your next challenge?
Do you feel ready to step into a role with real progression, but opportunities are limited in your current school?
A growing specialist school group is launching a brand-new primary SEN provision in West London and is seeking an experienced teacher to lead the initial cohort.
This is a unique opportunity to join at the early stages of a new provision, starting with a small class of around 5 pupils, with plans to expand to multiple classes. You will play a key role in shaping the curriculum, establishing provision standards and supporting the long-term growth of the setting.
The school supports pupils with a range of needs centred around SEMH, many of whom have experienced exclusion or significant disruption to their education. The setting follows a highly inclusive approach with a strong focus on re-engagement, consistency and long-term outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Teaching a small class within a new SEN primary provision
- Planning and delivering a tailored, engaging curriculum
- Supporting pupils with SEMH and additional needs
- Contributing to curriculum design and development
- Working closely with external services and local authorities
- Building strong relationships with parents and stakeholders
- Supporting pupil progress, engagement and emotional development
You will be joining a well-established SEN school group with multiple sites across London, offering excellent CPD and clear progression pathways. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher looking to move towards middle or senior leadership as the provision grows.
We are looking for teachers who:
- Hold QTS and have at least 3 years’ teaching experience
- Have strong SEN experience, particularly within SEMH settings
- Are confident in curriculum design and adapting learning
- Have experience working with external agencies and parents
- Are ambitious and interested in progression to leadership
- Are resilient, proactive and committed to inclusive education
Previous middle leadership experience is desirable but not essential. This role would suit a teacher looking to step into a position with clear progression towards SLT as the provision expands.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking SEN school group and play a key role in building a new provision from the ground up.
