We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Paramedic to join our dynamic Unscheduled Care team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B prison located in Bicester, Oxfordshire. This exciting role offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference in a unique and challenging environment. Working full time at 37.5 hours per week, you will be covering a variety of shifts, including 5 nights every 4 weeks, with the remainder being a mix of main and long shifts across Monday to Sunday. The role also includes working every other weekend. What you will do:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based healthcare to patients, focusing on emergency and unplanned care for both primary and acute needs.
- Coordinate daily shift operations to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Provide compassionate, non-judgemental care, fostering therapeutic relationships and maintaining professional boundaries.
- Engage actively in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in line with our policies and safeguarding procedures.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should be a qualified Paramedic with HCPC registration and have a proven 3 years of post-registration experience in ambulance services. Experience in Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments or dealing with minor injuries/illness is valued. While experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment is ideal, it is not essential. What is crucial is your commitment to providing patient-centred care with a non-judgemental and compassionate approach.
