What you will do

• Undertake clinical assessments, diagnose conditions, and treat patients accessing out‑of‑hours services.
• Deliver care across a variety of settings including patient homes, community hospitals, and urgent care centres.
• Work autonomously to manage urgent but non‑life‑threatening presentations.
• Collaborate closely with GPs, nursing teams, NHS 24, ambulance services, and wider MDTs.
• Contribute to clinical decision‑making including referral to secondary care and admission avoidance.
• Administer medications and treatments within your scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with governance and quality standards.
• Participate in audits, service improvement initiatives, and clinical governance activities.

Requirements

Essential:

• HCPC‑registered Paramedic.
• Degree in Paramedic Science or equivalent qualification.
• Post‑registration experience in urgent or emergency care.
• Ability to work independently in community or primary care settings.
• Strong clinical decision‑making and risk assessment skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

• Experience in GP out‑of‑hours, urgent care centres, or minor injury units.
• Independent Prescriber qualification.
• Advanced clinical assessment skills.
• Experience working in rural or remote healthcare environments.
