Seven Resourcing is seeking an enthusiastic Operations Supervisor to join our team in Chertsey, Surrey, earning £23.03 per hour via an umbrella company or £17.72 per hour via PAYE. What you will do:
- Support the Depot Operations Manager in delivering front-line operational collection and street scene services to the highest standards.
- Supervise operational street scene services, ensuring all work is completed daily and taking action to improve performance where necessary.
- Coordinate with employment agencies to maintain full operational staffing and service continuity.
- Collaborate with the Transport Manager to ensure the availability of vehicles and equipment.
- Utilise BARTEC waste management and street scene software for updates, integrating feedback from the operational crews.
- Investigate service complaints alongside customer service and depot colleagues, providing comprehensive responses and solutions.
- Participate in a weekly rota with supervisor colleagues to cover all operational hours.
- Assist in staff recruitment and provide information for investigations and disciplinary procedures.
- Conduct staff appraisals in line with the Council's appraisal scheme.
- Serve as a duty officer in out-of-hours emergency services on rotation, covering the Operations Manager and Street Scene Supervisors.
- Monitor and manage staff absences in accordance with Council procedures.
- Present data at management meetings to inform decision-making.
- Develop strategies to reduce overtime claims and expenses.
- Monitor and manage crew behaviour in line with HR policies.
- Conduct accident investigations in collaboration with the Health and Safety Manager.
- Act as a depot key holder for on-call responsibilities and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
