What you will do:
- Make daily phone calls to residents on a waiting list to ensure their safety and inform them of their status, using your expert communication skills.
- Reassure and assess the level of risk for each resident, prescribing simple items of equipment as needed.
- Meet strict targets and provide daily reports of contacts to ensure seamless communication and client satisfaction.
- Utilise robust clinical reasoning and risk management in handling diverse cases, demonstrating your expertise in occupational therapy.
- Handle any critical council issues as they arise with the support of your supervising OT Manager and Advanced Practitioner OT.
Requirements of the Therapy Assistant:
- Recent experience working as an Occupational Therapy/Therapy Assistant is essential.
- NHS experience would be advantageous, enriching your understanding of diverse healthcare environments.
