What you will do:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify the needs and challenges faced by children and young people with disabilities.
  • Utilise clinical reasoning to propose effective solutions and interventions, enhancing safety and independence through a range of equipment and adaptation techniques.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to coordinate comprehensive interventions aimed at maximising community independence and quality of life.
  • Facilitate the implementation of minor and major adaptations, including the coordination of Disabled Facilities Grants.
  • Supervise and mentor Occupational Therapy students and non-qualified staff, fostering a culture of learning and development within the team.
