What you will do:
- Conduct thorough environmental assessments to support housing reports and minor adaptations, ensuring environments are safe and accessible.
- Review and provide recommendations for equipment tailored to children with various physical disabilities and complex needs, enabling independence and improved quality of life.
- Apply your knowledge from postural management assessments to make informed recommendations and support the provision of appropriate equipment.
- Assess and review moving and handling needs carefully, informing the appropriate provision of equipment and developing effective care plans.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Hold a degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy, with the accompanying qualifications to match.
- Bring recent UK experience working within the NHS as an Occupational Therapist.
- Be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), maintaining the standards expected of a UK health professional.
- Possess a valid driving licence to facilitate visits within the community, ensuring you can deliver care where it is most needed.
