This is a thrilling opportunity for an experienced Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to join the Community Mental Health Team in the picturesque Isle of Man. This locum position offers a competitive hourly rate of £40 and will initially last between 3-6 months, with potential for extension depending on the success of the placement and ongoing needs. You will primarily work from 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, but alternative working patterns like 08:00 – 18:00 over four days are open to discussion. What you will do:
- Manage a defined and complex caseload of adults with various mental health conditions.
- Conduct comprehensive mental health and risk assessments, formulating and evaluating care plans in line with the Care Programme Approach (CPA).
- Deliver evidence-based interventions, including both individual and group-based approaches.
- Work autonomously and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists.
- Provide supervision, support, and guidance to junior staff, support workers, and students.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement projects.

Requirements of the Community Psychiatric Nurse:
- Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing.
- Solid experience working as a Mental Health Nurse.
- Current NMC Registration, ensuring you are up-to-date with the latest practices and standards in mental health nursing.
