Job Details:

• Pay: £16.00 - £18.00 per hour
• Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm or 7:30am - 4:00pm
• Duration: Temporary (up to 2 years)
• Benefits: Free parking, access to an onsite canteen, weekly pay

Job Role: As a Mechanical Repair Technician, you will repair and refurbish pallet cages and dolly cages by replacing wheels, side panels, mechanical frames and hinges. The role includes carrying out basic welding, using hand tools to repair or replace hinges, castors, side frames, panels and mild steel tubes, and accurately recording replacement parts within the stock control system. This Mechanical Repair Technician opportunity suits someone with strong mechanical fitting experience who enjoys practical repair work in a busy engineering environment.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Previous mechanical fitting experience
• Competent using hand tools to carry out mechanical repairs
• Experience replacing hinges, castors, side frames, panels and mild steel tubes
• Ability to accurately record stock usage within a stock control system

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in a Mechanical Engineering discipline
• Basic welding experience
