About You

We are looking for a Maths Teacher who is:

  • Qualified (QTS) and experienced in teaching Maths at secondary level
  • Experienced within an SEMH setting (essential)
  • Resilient and emotionally intelligent, with strong behaviour management skills
  • Patient, empathetic, and nurturing, with a passion for supporting vulnerable learners
  • Adaptable and creative, able to tailor lessons to meet diverse needs
  • A strong communicator, able to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
  • Committed to inclusive education and ensuring every student can succeed

The Role

As a Maths Teacher in this SEMH school, you will play a vital role in helping students

overcome barriers to learning and rediscover confidence in education.

You will deliver engaging and accessible Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, adapting your teaching to meet a wide range of needs and abilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering differentiated, engaging Maths lessons
  • Supporting students with SEMH needs to re-engage with learning
  • Creating a calm, structured, and supportive classroom environment
  • Using a patient and flexible approach to behaviour management
  • Monitoring progress and implementing targeted interventions
  • Working closely with pastoral teams and external professionals
  • Contributing to curriculum development and the wider school ethos
