Materials Handler in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire

Keep production moving by ensuring the right materials are in the right place, at the right time.

Our Client has a requirement for a Materials Handler, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire.

Role Purpose:

• Support the production team by ensuring materials and components are available when and where they are needed
• Help maintain a smooth and efficient manufacturing process by managing the movement of parts across the factory floor
• Work closely with production, planning, and assembly teams to meet production demands

Job Role Responsibilities:

• Issue, move, and transfer parts and materials to support production activities
• Ensure machines and workstations are supplied with the correct components in a timely manner
• Assist the Production Planner and assembly stores whenever required
• Follow established manufacturing systems, processes, and best practices
• Use Manufacturing System principles and tools to support continuous improvement initiatives

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a technology or manufacturing environment
• Understanding of demand planning and production schedules
• Knowledge of production workflows within a manufacturing setting
• Experience using Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems
• Organised, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
