Job Details:

• Pay: £18.00 per hour (Negotiable depending on experience)
• Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 4:00pm, Friday 8:00am - 3:00pm
• Duration: Permanent
• Benefits: Standard pension, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Job Role: As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for designing and manufacturing bespoke tooling solutions within a precision engineering environment. The Manual Machinist will build and repair tools, jigs, dies and moulds while ensuring all work is completed to exact specifications and high-quality standards. Duties include operating manual lathes, milling machines and grinders, interpreting complex engineering drawings, manufacturing bespoke components, repairing existing tooling and utilising CAD/CAM software where required. The Manual Machinist will play a key role in supporting production and delivering precision-engineered solutions for customers.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Proven toolmaking experience
• Experience setting and operating manual milling machines
• Experience setting and operating manual turning machines
• Previous experience working within a precision engineering company
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Apprentice-trained Toolmaker or equivalent qualification
• The successful Manual Machinist will be confident producing precision components to tight tolerances

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• CNC programming experience
• CNC turning experience
• CAD/CAM experience
• Experience manufacturing bespoke tooling, jigs, dies and moulds
• Broader machining experience beyond manual machining disciplines
