The Role – Key Stage 1 Teacher
In this position, the Key Stage 1 Teacher will:
- Lead a Year 2 class, taking full ownership of teaching and learning

- Guide pupils through their final year of KS1, including assessment preparation
- Establish clear routines and maintain high expectations for behaviour
- Adapt teaching strategies to ensure all children make progress
- Work closely with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community
The successful Key Stage 1 Teacher will create a classroom environment where pupils feel motivated, challenged, and supported in equal measure.
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for a Key Stage 1 Teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply)
- Has a secure understanding of KS1 curriculum and expectations
- Is committed to raising standards and improving outcomes
