What you will do:
- Chair child protection conferences and looked after children reviews, ensuring top-quality assessments and engagement with the child and their family
- Monitor the progress of care plans, identifying any delays and challenges to address effectively
- Collaborate with multi-agency networks to uphold standards and improve outcomes for children
- Provide expert advice and support for other team members, drawing upon your extensive social work experience
- Maintain accurate and timely records while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements

Requirements of the Independent Reviewing Officer:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in social work
- Current registration with Social Work England
- Significant frontline experience in UK social services, having operated as a qualified social worker
