Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary School | Birmingham
Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 per annum

This Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role is an excellent opportunity for anyone considering a future career in SEN teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, or pastoral support.
This welcoming secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a compassionate and committed graduate to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
You will work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and pastoral teams to help pupils access the curriculum and develop confidence.
The Role:

Providing 1:1 and small group SEN support in and out of the classroom

Supporting students with EHCPs to meet academic and behavioural targets

Assisting with differentiation and tailored learning strategies
-
Supporting emotional regulation, engagement, and wellbeing

Gaining hands-on experience of SEN provision in a secondary setting
The Ideal Candidate:

A recent graduate (2:1 or above preferred)

Passionate about SEN and supporting vulnerable learners

Patient, empathetic, and resilient

Considering a long-term career in SEN, education, or psychology
