KPI Education are working with a highly regarded specialist SEN school in Finchley to recruit dedicated and ambitious SEN Teaching Assistants for full-time, long-term roles starting this September.

This well-established school supports pupils aged 4-19 with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication difficulties, and moderate learning needs. The school prides itself on its structured, nurturing, and inclusive environment, where students are supported both academically and emotionally to achieve their individual goals.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role within a multidisciplinary team, working closely with teachers, therapists, and senior leaders to deliver tailored support that enables every student to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs.
  • Support students with Autism, communication needs, and learning difficulties.
  • Assist in delivering personalised learning programmes linked to EHCP targets.
  • Promote independence, confidence, and emotional regulation.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, Speech & Language Therapists, and Occupational Therapists.
  • Implement behaviour support strategies and therapeutic approaches.
  • Monitor student progress and contribute to observations and reporting.

You will be instrumental in helping students overcome barriers to learning while developing essential life skills in a supportive and specialist environment.

We Are Looking For

  • Experience supporting young people with SEN, Autism, or additional needs (preferred).
  • Graduates with ambitions in teaching, educational psychology, or therapy.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • A resilient, patient, and proactive approach.
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and student development.
  • Experience in education, care, youth work, or support roles (desirable but not essential).
