A forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Birmingham city centre is looking to welcome an exceptional Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated support team. This role offers unparalleled experience working directly with learners with a range of additional needs—ideal for graduates committed to making a genuine difference.

The Role – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

• Full-time, long-term role within a highly supportive SEN department.
• Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils with a variety of additional needs.
• Play a key role in their academic, social and emotional development.
• Use your Psychology background in a practical, impactful way.
• Earn up to £600 per week.
• Receive full training, ongoing mentoring and SEN-specific CPD.

This is a hands-on position where you will help remove barriers to learning, create a calm and inclusive environment, and ensure every student is able to access education in a way that works for them. You’ll be supported by a skilled SEN leadership team who are passionate about developing ambitious graduates into confident practitioners.

Who We’re Looking For

• A recent Psychology graduate with a 2:1 or higher.
• Empathetic, resilient and deeply motivated to support vulnerable learners.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• A reflective, proactive and highly committed individual.
• Any relevant experience (voluntary or paid) is welcome but not essential.
