This exciting role is ideal for graduates who are passionate about SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs and want to work closely with young people facing barriers to learning. You'll play a vital role in supporting students' wellbeing, emotional development, attendance, behaviour, and engagement in school life.

The Role

Working alongside experienced pastoral leaders, SEN professionals, and teaching staff, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one mentoring and emotional support to students
  • Support pupils with SEMH needs and additional learning barriers
  • Help students regulate emotions and develop positive coping strategies
  • Deliver small-group interventions focused on wellbeing and resilience
  • Monitor student progress, attendance, and engagement
  • Build strong relationships with students, families, and external agencies
  • Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment
  • Support students both inside and outside the classroom
