About the Role :

As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you will support pupils across the primary age range who require additional support to access learning and develop confidence in the classroom.

The school supports children with a range of needs including:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • ADHD
  • Speech and Language difficulties
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering 1:1 support and small group interventions
  • Supporting the implementation of EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor pupil progress
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and engagement with learning
  • Helping create a structured, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

This role provides excellent practical SEN experience and is ideal for graduates considering future careers in education, psychology, therapy, or child development.

About You

The school is looking for a graduate who is passionate about supporting children and making a positive impact.

You will ideally have :

  • A 2:1 degree or above in any subject (Psychology, Education, or related fields are advantageous)
  • A genuine interest in supporting children with Special Educational Needs
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience working with children or young people (such as tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or youth work) is beneficial but not essential
  • The right to work in the UK
