KPI Education is working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school in Barnet to recruit an outstanding Graduate Learning Support Assistant – English for an immediate start. This full-time, long-term role is ideal for an ambitious graduate looking to apply their academic knowledge while supporting students in the English department.
The Role
As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students to support learning and help pupils develop confidence in English and literacy.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering targeted 1:1 and small-group academic support in English.
- Assisting students with reading, writing, comprehension, and literacy development.
- Supporting English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Working collaboratively with English teachers and other staff to enhance learning outcomes.
- Helping students build confidence, engagement, and positive learning habits.
- Contributing to a supportive and productive classroom environment.
This role offers excellent experience within a secondary school setting, particularly for graduates interested in pursuing careers in teaching or education.
Person Specification
We are seeking a high-achieving graduate who:
- Holds a 2:1 or above in English, English Literature, or a closely related subject.
- Demonstrates a passion for education and supporting young people.
- Is professional, proactive, and enthusiastic about working in a school environment.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Has experience working with young people or in educational settings (desirable but not essential).
Previous school-based experience is not essential, as full support and guidance will be provided.
