This role sits within a supportive and forward-thinking Residential Seniority team, dedicated to ensuring kinship carers and the children they support are recognised, valued, and empowered to thrive.

You will play a key role in delivering practical, emotional, and developmental support to carers and children, helping families build stability and resilience.

What you will do

  • Provide intensive one-to-one support to kinship carers through the Kinship Connected delivery model for up to six months.

  • Facilitate support groups, both face-to-face and virtually, creating safe and inclusive spaces for carers.

  • Liaise with local authorities, schools, and partner organisations to arrange specialist support and training.

  • Coordinate and deliver the Ready Programme, supporting carers to attend workshops and access relevant services.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to champion the organisation’s mission and values.

  • Identify and manage safeguarding concerns, following robust policies with guidance from designated safeguarding officers.

  • Accurately record service delivery activity and assess carers’ needs using the Salesforce database.

  • Contribute to programme evaluation, service development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Engage fully in training and professional development to enhance skills and practice.

You will be self-motivated, well-organised, and confident in building trusted relationships with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for kinship carers and children.
