Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Padstow, Cornwall
Salary: £40,000
Shift: Monday – Friday (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm)
Job Role of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer
We are offering a fantastic opportunity for an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and secure manufacturing site in Padstow. Operating within a fast-paced industrial print and book production environment, this role offers long-term stability and clear progression potential into a supervisory position within 1–3 years.
Working alongside a Mechanical Engineer on shift, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and planned preventative maintenance across a wide range of production machinery, ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency.
Electrical systems include DC & AC motors, single and three-phase systems, high voltage equipment, sensors, relays, PLCs, contactors and control panels. You will also be required to interpret electrical drawings and schematics.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer
· Electrical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
· Electrically qualified (recognised electrical engineering qualification).
· Electrically biased (as you will be paired on shift with a Mechanical Engineer).
· Hands-on experience with pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast-paced industrial factory.
Requirements for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer
· Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
· Experience working with motors, sensors, relays, PLCs and control panels.
· Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
· Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
Desirable Requirements for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer
· Experience working within a UK manufacturing environment.
· Exposure to mechanical components such as bearings, belts, shafts, gearboxes and hydraulics.
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will benefit from:
· £40,000 salary.
· Monday–Friday shift pattern (no weekend work).
· 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays.
