What you will do:
- Manage and coordinate complaints, concerns, compliments, and representations received across Children's Social Care services.
- Ensure complaints progress in accordance with the Children Act 1989 Representations Procedure, Local Authority Social Services and National Health Service Complaints Regulations, and organisational policies.
- Liaise with service managers, social workers, and partner agencies to gather information and support investigations.
- Draft high-quality complaint responses, briefing reports, and correspondence for senior leaders and complainants.
- Monitor statutory response deadlines and maintain accurate records within complaints management systems.
Person Specification:
- Educated to A-Level standard or possess an equivalent qualification.
- A relevant qualification in Business Administration, Public Administration, Complaints Handling, Customer Services, or a related discipline is desirable.
- Evidence of continuing professional development is ideal.
- Experience handling complaints within a local authority, children’s services, social care, housing, healthcare, or other public sector environments.
- Experience managing sensitive, confidential, and complex casework is essential.
