KPI Recriting Ltd are looking for a Class 2 Dustcart Driver for our client based in Hailsham

Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver
Location: Hailsham, East Sussex, BN27 area

Salary: £17.00 per hour (weekly pay)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 3:00pm

About the Role

We are seeking dependable and experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our team. This hands-on position involves the safe operation of refuse collection vehicles and collaborating closely with loaders to deliver efficient waste and recycling collections.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) refuse collection vehicle
• Manoeuvre large vehicles through residential and commercial areas with care and precision
• Carry out waste and recycling collections according to designated daily routes
• Perform daily walk-around vehicle inspections (including brakes, tyres, and lifting mechanisms) and promptly report any defects
• Work collaboratively with 1–2 loaders to ensure smooth and effective operations
• Accurately complete all route sheets and vehicle logs
• Comply fully with HGV driving hours, health and safety, and environmental regulations
• Provide a professional and courteous service when engaging with members of the public

Requirements

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence
• Current CPC Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous experience driving Class 2 vehicles; refuse collection experience is advantageous
• Strong awareness of road safety and vehicle operation best practises
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Physically fit with robust manual handling capability
