Core hours are 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday, but there is room for flexibility around these times to fit your lifestyle. What you will do:

  • Coordinate care plans for individuals in the early stages of psychosis, aged 14 and above.
  • Assess health and social care needs, negotiating effective care plans with service users and carers, even amidst diagnostic uncertainty.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary colleagues, delivering care plans within the CPA structure.
  • Engage and support service users assertively in community settings, developing therapeutic relationships with them and their families.
  • Provide age, culture, and gender-sensitive services, based on evidence-based interventions.
  • Manage risk proactively and ensure child protection guidelines are adhered to.
  • Educate service users and families about first episode psychosis and provide carer support.
  • Foster effective relationships with mental health services, primary care, and partner agencies.
  • Ensure access to basic needs like housing and education, and liaise with relevant services.
  • Engage service users in prevention and crisis planning, aiming to avoid hospitalisation whenever possible.
  • Participate in public awareness strategies and training for early detection of psychosis.
  • Maintain professionalism, comply with legal and professional standards, and contribute to team audits and research.
