Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to join the CEME/O Team within Adult and Specialist Mental Health Services in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. This ongoing locum role offers £27 per hour and the chance to contribute to a dedicated early intervention service supporting individuals experiencing psychosis and other complex mental health conditions.

Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will manage a small caseload, deliver high-quality community mental health care, and participate in duty services to provide timely support to individuals accessing the service.

What You Will Do

  • Manage and coordinate care for a caseload of individuals experiencing psychosis and other mental health conditions.

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop personalised care plans tailored to individual needs.

  • Participate in the Duty service, providing immediate advice, support, and crisis response where required.

  • Deliver evidence-based mental health interventions to support recovery and wellbeing.

  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and support staff.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with professional standards, policies, and legislation.

  • Support service users in accessing appropriate community resources and specialist services.

Requirements

  • Qualification: Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).

  • Registration: Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

  • Experience: Previous experience working within community mental health teams or early intervention services is desirable.

  • Skills: Strong clinical assessment abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
