This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and work on the front lines of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Norfolk for the next 3 months. As a Band 6 CAMHS Crisis Practitioner, you will engage with young people facing mental health crises, offering critical support and emergency assessment in various locations including Norwich, Yarmouth, and surrounding areas. What you will do:
- Conduct emergency assessments in acute hospitals or community settings in response to mental health crises.
- Deliver brief interventions and intensive support to under-18 individuals requiring immediate mental health assistance.
- Provide risk assessments, manage caseloads, and contribute to person-centered treatment packages.
- Support and collaborate with assistant psychologists and assistant practitioners during joint appointments and risk reviews.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in an accurate and timely manner using an Electronic Patient Record system.
- Engage in team meetings and contribute to the development of effective care plans while maintaining excellent communication and engagement with young patients and their families.
