What you will do:

• Assess complex needs of patients, including those with unconfirmed diagnoses, and manage specialised care programmes based on evidence and research.
• Independently recognise and respond to changes in patient conditions, ensuring appropriate interventions and timely escalation when required.
• Guide, advise, and direct staff in the planning and implementation of specialised patient care, promoting involvement and respecting patient beliefs and dignity.
• Build therapeutic relationships with patients and their support network, using adaptable communication skills to respect views and cultural differences.
• Act as a role model for junior staff, upholding high standards and professional values within the service.
• Manage nurse-led and multi-agency activities within your specialisation, contributing to service development and policy changes.
• Ensure that nutritional care policies and guidelines are followed by colleagues and staff.
• Lead in multidisciplinary team meetings, providing expertise in paediatric dietetics alongside adult ward work.
